A FANTASTIC 3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS MULTI-ACTIVITY HOLIDAYS . BIKE . TREK . KAYAK AND VILLAGE HOME STAY
DAY1: Pick up from your accommodation at about 8:30 AM and depart from the center at 9:00 AM. We cycle for about 2 and half hours to Ban Xang Hay Village, also known as Whisky Village. Here you visit the village, see the process of making lao lao, the country’s beloved rice whiskey and taste the fresh local delights. Why not pick up a couple of bottles for later!
Another 30 minutes cycling on dirt roads take us to Manifa Elephant Camp. We enjoy a full buffet style lunch @ the Manifa Elephant Camp restaurant – overlooking the mekong river.
After lunch break, We continue biking up along Nam Ou River passing villages and their farms. 2 hours cycling takes us to Ban Houy Lo village – a Khmu village about 40 km away from Luang Prabang. We will visit Khmu family and home-stay at the village.
DAY2: After breakfast, we start trekking from Ban Houy Lo. We will walk in the beautiful and green jungle forest, cross small streams. 2 hours trekking takes us to a small Hmong village called Ban Tham loum. We will take a break there and then continue trekking up in the mountain another 2 hours to Hmong village of Ban Mok Chong on the top of the mountain. Along the way we will have beautiful scenery of karstic mountainsy and meet hill tribe people working at their farm.
We have a lunch break at Ban Mok Chong. After lunch break, we walk downhill for 2 hours to Ban Ladthahae. We home-stay at the hillside village. You will have a chance to learn about Hmong culture while spending the night with a local family.
Day 3: We go to Lao Village by vehicle about 20 minutes. From there we start kayak on the Nam Ou River. We enjoy a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside and see a wonderful nature built limestone cliffs called Pha Aen on the way. 2 hours kayaking take us to the destination the confluence of the Nam Ou and Mekong Rivers, Pak Ou.
Upon arrival at Pak Ou, we visit the famous Pak Ou Caves : Two linked caves in the limestone cliff are crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by devoted pilgrims. Exploring the caves about 30 min, we start the second course of kayak on the Mekong River. We paddle down the Mekong for another 30 minutes until we ended our journey at Manifa Elephant Camp. There we enjoy a beautiful buffet style lunch at the restaurant – overlooking the Mekong River. We return to the city in the afternoon.

THE FAMOUS HOLY SITES PAK OU CAVES
Pak Ou Cave, well known as Tham Ting or Ting Cave, located on the riverbank, about 25km from Luang Prabang. The cave is very beautiful and filled with thousands of Buddha images and has long served as a pilgrimage site for all kinds of people, including members of the former royal family.
