NATURE FRIENDLY 2-DAY ADVENTURE
DAY1 Pick up from your accommodation at about 8:30 AM and start biking from the center at 9:00 AM. We cycle for about 3 hours to Manifa Elephant Camp. On the way, we will stop at Ban Xang Khong village (famous for textile with silk and sa paper) and Ban Xang Hay Village (known as Whisky Village.) In these villages, we see the manufacturing process of various handcraft products
Reaching Manifa Elephant Camp. We enjoy a full buffet style lunch @ the Manifa Elephant Camp restaurant – overlooking the mekong river.
At about 1 PM, we start “MAHOUT EXPERIENCE PROGRAM“.

- LEARN HOW TO BETTER HANDLE ELEPHANTS THROUGH BODY LANGUAGE AWARENESS AND COMMUNICATION TECHNIQUES
- LEARN HOW TO CORRECTLY RIDE LIKE A MAHOUT ON THE NECK OF THE ELEPHANT
- GUIDE YOUR ELEPHANT SAFELY AND COMFORTABLY THROUGH THE JUNGLE ON THE PROPERTY
- BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HELPING BRING ELEPHANTS TO CAMP IN THE MORNING (WAKE UP CALL AND WALK RIDE TO WORK
- PRACTICE THE SKILLS LEARNED IN TRAINING PROGRAM
The 1st day of Mahout program continue until the late afternoon, with an hour lunch break. In the end, we take elephants to their resident bamboo forests. From evening to next morning, we have a free time in the Mekong riverside.
DAY 2: We resume Mahout Program in the early morning at 6:30 to bring elephants from forests with Manifa mahout team, then we take elephants to the Mekong river for bathing and interact with them for a while.
At around 10:30 AM, we end the Mahout program and embark a boat trip to Pak Ou Caves on the Mekong River. We see a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well as the mysterious nature on the way. 30 minutes boat trip take us to Pak Ou where the confluence of the Nam Ou and Mekong Rivers. Pak Ou Caves are two linked caves crammed with thousand of lacquered Buddha Status of various shapes and sizes left by devoted pilgrims. Exploring the caves about 40 min, then we go back to elephant camp for lunch break.
Afternoon this adventure destination package takes you to kuang si waterfall – you will have time to explore the three layered Kuang Si Waterfall walk the trails of the nature reserve and swim in the refreshing turquoise water pools and visit the bear rescue center. We leave for Luang Prabang in the late afternoon. We make a short visit at Ban Na Uan Hmong village on the way. We return to the city between 5:30-6:00 PM which is the ideal time to visit Phousi Mountain to see sunset.
Recommended to join in this tour with two or more people. We have to double the price for a single participant because the reference price starts from 2 participants .
DELICIOUS DINNER WITH A SPECTACULAR MEKONG VIEW
In case of booking more than 3 people, we serve a special dinner Loas traditional “Sin Dad” (Lao style BBQ/Fondue, Hot Pot or Lao Suki) You can enjoy local pork and buffalo meats with various seasonal vegetables. Booking less than 2 people, we serve Lao foods set menu. (local chicken or mekong fish) But you can upgrade to “Sin Dad” by additional $10(1100円)/PAX (Please inquire us by email)
BAN XANG HAI
A unique little village on the banks of the Mekong River. Ban Xang Hai is famous for their handicraft products like distilling and selling whisky, hand woven fabric and jewelry.
CRUELTY FREE ELEPHANT RIDE
Explore the mysterious beauty of the Lao jungle with elephant. Manifa mahout team have a tremendous bond with their elephant. They will support you to ride elephant with no cruelty.
ELEPHANT BATH IN THE MEKONG RIVER
Join in the elephant bath time. Ride on the neck of your elephant into the Mekong river and help elephant to scrub themselves clean and cool down from the heat of the day. You will have lots of fun and meaningful interaction with elephant.
Manifa Elephant Camp provides pleanty of snack food (banana & sugarcane stick, pineapple) for you to feed elephants. No additional charge for elephant snacks
BUFFET STYLE LUNCH

THE FAMOUS HOLY SITES PAK OU CAVES
Pak Ou Cave, well known as Tham Ting or Ting Cave, located on the riverbank, about 25km from Luang Prabang. The cave is very beautiful and filled with thousands of Buddha images and has long served as a pilgrimage site for all kinds of people, including members of the former royal family.
KUANG SI WATERFALL
The Kuang Si Falls, sometimes spelled Kuang Xi or known as Tat Kuang Si Waterfalls, is a three levelled waterfall about 29 kilometres (18 mi) south of Luang Prabang. These waterfalls are a favourite side trip for tourists in Luang Prabang. The falls begin in shallow pools atop a steep hillside. These lead to the main fall with a 60 metres (200 ft) drop.
